Amazon could look at integration of some of its other offerings with its Prime video, such as its ecommerce marketplace and Amazon Music, apart from having already integrated it with its voiceassistant Alexa. A spokesperson for Prime Video in India also said that revenue through advertisements is a possibility in the future.

Amazon is also looking to push its secondary screen feature, called ‘X-Ray’, wherein the viewer gets details about the content and other background details. Vijay Subramanian, head of content for Amazon Prime Video India said that they will constantly keep adding to the X-Ray feature
Amazon Prime Video currently offers content in five regional languages. Amazon, which is said to have around 10 million Prime subscribers in India, could also look to bring in advertisements to its video content in the future
Amazon is set to launch 10 new original shows as part of its Prime video offering in 2019, after picking the pace this year with a plan to launch six by the end of the year, according to Subramanian. Amazon is fighting the global player Netflix, which is also pushing originals, as well as domestic player Hotstar, which has a larger focus on regional content.
